Why I Joined the Shaklee Team

Hey friends!  I’ve had such a hard time deciding how to write this post.  I’m so excited to share this news, but at the same time, I hope that my excitement doesn’t seem premature or overhyped.  Some of you know that at the beginning of the month, I participated in a five day reset with a company called Shaklee.  I decided to go for it for a few reasons: my eating was not good, my energy was low, and my sleeping patterns were a little bit off.  I know how to eat healthy, but my willpower was lacking and my heart just wasn’t in meal planning anymore.  A day or two of take out turned into several days, and I could not get back on track.  I was hopeful, but not terribly optimistic, about how I’d feel during and after the reset with Shaklee.  I was mostly wishing it would give me a little bit of a kick start to get back on track with my normal good eating habits, and I certainly didn’t expect that I’d want to make it a continual part of my life.

But what happened is that on the Shaklee 180 product (a protein powder that *can* also act as a weight loss aid) and the vitalizer (a vitamin pack with a multivitamin, a B+C complex, E+omego-3 fatty acids, and a probiotic) I felt totally amazing within about three days.  My energy came back full force, I started sleeping wonderfully again (falling asleep faster and staying asleep easier), and I stopped craving foods that I knew weren’t good for me.  I’m a total sugar-holic, and I always have been.  But when I was drinking the smoothies (I typically blended ice, frozen berries, banana, spinach, and coconut milk) and using the vitalizer on a regular basis, my sugar cravings completely and totally disappeared.  Believe me, I know that sounds too good to be true!  But that was my honest experience.

And so clearly I was intrigued.  I carefully and diligently looked at the ingredient list (it all checked out), I researched the mission and vision of the company, I read anecdotal success stories and looked at results of a twenty year longitudinal study.  The more I read, the more impressed I was.  Shaklee is a company that believes in using the best nature has to offer to deliver products that aid our health.  They prove with the most stringest of tests that what they say is in their product is actually in their product, and they will stand behind their products 100%.  If it doesn’t work for you, they will gladly reimburse you!

I am not a salesperson at all, it’s just not one of my strengths.  But I do believe in sharing something that works, and despite my somewhat limited personal experience I really and truly believe that Shaklee products work.  They have an amazing array of products from vitamins and (safe!) weight loss products to skin and hair care products to green cleaning solutions.  I myself am still learning about everything they offer, but as I do, I will continue to share.  I hope that you’ll bear with me (or you can just skip these posts, I promise I won’t be offended).  And, if you’re interested in doing something similar to what I did with the reset, a few blogging friends and I will be hosting one the second week of July.  If you’re interested, I would love to chat with you about helping you join (pressure free, I promise!).

That’s all for now!  Thanks for reading about my new adventure.
