Hey friends, I am back home in my home state of Pennsylvania for part of this week. My husband had to work, but the girls and I made the drive to visit my parents for a few days. Because we live so far away, it’s always treasured time when we get to visit! I was feeling like a rock star during most of the 6+ hour drive; the girls were well behaved, we were all in good spirits, we only stopped once for a break. And then we hit traffic. The stop dead in your tracks, not move an inch kind of traffic. People were tailgating out of their trunks for goodness sake! I checked my phone and realized that a tree had fallen across the highway and they were estimating two hours to get it removed. And my youngest had to go to the bathroom NOW! 🙂 Needless to say, the last leg of the trip was more about trying to keep my sanity, and several episodes of the Berenstein Bears were watched. But we made it!
Here’s what my workout have looked like during the past week:
M – 60 minutes strength training
T – Off
W – 4 mile run + 30 minutes boot camp
Th – 60 minutes kickboxing class
F – 4 mile run (8:00, 7:42, 7:42, 8:00)
S – Off
Su – 5 mile easy run with my sister
It’s been a great few days with family. We picked a LOT of strawberries this weekend and made freezer jam, have been doing lots of swimming in my parent’s pool, played several rounds of UNO, and are about to head off to my favorite thrift store this morning to find some summer play clothes for the girls. I’ve got some exciting news related to my recent love for the Shaklee company that I hope to talk more about next time. But until then, enjoy these first few days of summer!
